Our Family's Journey

My family's journey in the coffee and restaurant business began over 20 years ago, and my brother and I grew up surrounded by the comforting smells and vibrant energy of the shop. Those childhood memories inspired my dream of one day opening my own restaurant. In the summer of 2024, that dream became a reality. Together with my husband, Kent, and my parents, Irma and Robert, we purchased the historic building on the corner of Calle Principal and Calle De Correo and set out to create a welcoming and charming spot for both locals and visitors to enjoy. We named it Madelyn's, after our young daughter, to honor the love and joy she brings to our family.

Located in the heart of historic Mesilla, New Mexico—just steps away from the enchanting Mesilla Plaza—Madelyn's is a place where tradition and community come together. We take pride in offering artisan coffees, freshly baked pastries, delicious breakfast dishes, smoothies, made-from-scratch pizzas, and hearty sandwiches. Whether you're starting your day with the perfect cup of coffee or relaxing with a sweet treat, our scenic back patio provides the perfect setting to unwind and take in the beauty and charm of Old Mesilla.
